References:

• The grapes she grows are Wild Desert Grapes. They can be used for wine, dried to be eaten as raisins, or eaten plain.
• The plant that Est is inspired by is the Black Bat Flower. It is rumored that the plants smell like death in order to be pollinated by carnage-seeking flies, but in actuality the plant has been found self-pollinating. I just think that's neat.

Plot Ideas:

Immediate-
Attempt to learn to build a raft/canoe to travel the river up and down. This may or may not turn out (probably not).
- Ambushed on the river? Areas too corrupted to get through?

Try to breed two plants together. I'm thinking of those cool fruit trees that bear a bunch of different fruits because they were entwined. She would love that. She has no idea how to do that though. Would probably try cross-pollinating first?


Long term-
Find a romantic partner.
Est has a strong sense of independence and individuality, and this will likely clash with all but the most passive partners. However, I think she'd absolutely enjoy butting heads with someone she loves. Arguing might be her love language.

Go on a pilgrimage.
Even though her mother entrusted her with the care of the garden where her father rests, and Est does not believe too strongly in her religion, I think that Est is eventually also going to feel the call. Especially when her mother does not return, she will begin seeking answers to questions that have none. She will want to see Veratelle's grave too, maybe hoping it will bring her spirituality to life (spoiler alert: I don't think it will).

Start a business.
She is not a fan of working for the Entente. She is not a fan of working for anyone, but is also not good enough at finance to be able to run something on her own. If she can save up and also learn enough about negotiation to be able to barter, she will try to make it herself.
