Continuing from Revelations

Salen would continue to pace around the room as Tiberius was in thought for a second; he raised an eyebrow at Salen as he tilted his head towards the Remnomancer in front of him, smiling “You’re quiet, everything alright?” The Half Sil’Norai nodded, before sitting down on the bed in thought.

“The Black Orchid…”

The silver haired male pulled him closer as he stared deeply into his eyes for a moment “I guess I should tell you…” He said with a sigh as he looked down at the other man “I worked for them as one of their Orchids, although I was outed after discovering one of the Amakor was a blood mage?”

“Amakor? Blood mage?”

Salen raised an eyebrow as he looked back and narrowed his eyes for a moment. “Dahlia has been dealing with blood mages? Vandikars?” He blinked for a moment before smirking, “That does sound interesting.”

“I would tell you more, but I think the walls have ears.”

“Why don’t we go to a place where they don’t…” Salen raised an eyebrow as he laid against the bed in a provocative position “To the Reverie; a look into one’s dreams as if we were through the looking glass” Salen said with a melodic tone to the end of his voice; this made Tiberius smile with joy as he enacted a tether amongst Salen once again and casting Minstrel upon him.

The joy he felt being by his side was irradiated in contrast to the argument they had earlier “I’ve never done this before” He said as Tiberius wrapped his arms around his waist in support of Salen’s duty. He stopped and kissed along his jaw as Salen channeled his ether. His eyes began to go cloudy white, before glowing with the colors of magic hour; the pink, orange and peach hues that radiated from his eyes showed as he prepared himself for the magical channeling of this ability.

Mind Collision.

Tiberius held as he closed his eyes and fell asleep beside Salen as he continued to channel his ether, bringing his mindscape together and bringing them forth into a dream once again. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Salen would awaken, laying in a field of grass, surrounded by tranquil orange skies and blissful terrain. The smells of pomegranate, honeysuckle and blossoms penetrate the air as he sat up as the terrain was revealed before him as they were both pulled into the same dream. The vivid levels were intense as if they were standing in that particular dreamscape.

“This is…”

“The dream that started the process of what we are.” Salen said as he sat beside the tree with the other male as he looked into the distance; the fairytale-like castle that sat on the hills was there, yet again. Salen snickered as he shook his head “Reminds me of those cheesy romance tales, although only it feels real…”

“It’s just a dream, Salen.” Tiberius continued as he sat beside Salen, wrapping an arm as he stared at the pristine views “I just wish that life was perfect like that…” He said with a sad trail towards the end of his words, causing Tiberius to squeeze his shoulder “Well… Since we’re here… I should tell you…” He looked into the distance as he tilted his head towards the castle in the distance. The two men were both sitting identical to each other on each side as they enjoyed the blissful dreamscape that they had surrounded themselves in.

However, not a perfect solution to talk about serious matters; but it was appropriate at the time. The point of Remnomancy was to keep things private, to hide lies, deceive others and even alter the fabric of the dreamscape. Salen’s ether began to draw on the effects as he changed aspects of his dreamscape as both Tiberius and Salen were experiencing each other’s cognition and experiences.

Tiberius chuckled as he nudged Salen “Knock it off, I’m trying to tell you something… You’re like a child with a lost toy when it comes to playing around with things.” He asserted as Salen snorted, tilting his head for a moment “Sorry, I can’t help myself… I’m…”

“Trying my patience?” Tiberius interrupted.

“Go on, tell me everything.”

“I’ve forgotten now.” Tiberius teased.

At that moment, Salen glared at him and tilted his head at the sound of Tiberius’ dismissal to the cause that he had asked him “No sex for you in the future then.”

“Would you really be that mean? An easy boy like you?”

“There's a difference between me and you, I know how to use my seductive wiles, whilst you just seem to flaunt it to every random guy.” He smirked as he chose to make a comeback about him being easy. A comment which gave Salen much displeasure of hearing due to the sarcastic sound to his voice as if the words were clearly punctuated and were indeed prickly in tone.

“You were saying?”

Tiberius was stunned by the sarcasm, but he chose to continue regardless, knowing that he had just annoyed Salen through his comment that implied hypocrisy.

“Firstly, are you sure you want to fight them? There’s no going back if you do…”

“Mhm…” He said as he looked back at Tiberius “I’m going to clear your name, regain my title and torch the Omen… What good has Ulendreaism done to us, it’s brought nothing but pain, anguish and a way to control people. A way to apotheosize those who do wrong… Ulen… Will surely forgive them, but what about me? What about all of the other people that have been wronged? Who were born without Ulen’s gift… Or whatever it is…” He eventually took a deep sigh as he spoke passionately about his ambitions and outcomes for the world.

Tiberius leaned into Salen and shook his head “Alright, but… You must promise me something… Return to me and don’t die.” He smiled as he rubbed his shoulders.

“I promise…” Salen spoke softly.

The moment was quite as Tiberius thought about the reckless things that Salen would’ve done in the past; it was no surprise that he’d get himself hurt. Perhaps it was time to let Salen take the consequences for himself. After all, he knew the kind of danger he would be getting into, but he couldn’t protect him and neither could Salen at the time when he was exiled away from Dahlia’s sect.

“Two members of the Black Orchid despise Dahlia’s ways; it’s very difficult to determine how their relationship crumbled, but it appears they have been plotting for months to get rid of her… Dahlia is aware, but she can’t do anything since they are Amakor… She has to stick to the code or the other Amakor will choose to banish her…” Tiberius paused as he shook his head in horror as he remembered something. Something truely terrifying “I remember, seeing the horror of a blood mage working her magic… I saw her, there it was… She’s a Raven Rathor, but secretly she’s the raven that stays perched on Dahlia’s shoulder when she’s walking around.”

“You mean, the raven she has… Is it actually a Rathor?”

“A Neoalt…”

Salen eventually narrowed his eyes as he dispelled himself from the dream and back into their room. He needed to save ether reserves for his training, judging it was going to be a grueling test of strength against Dahlia in times to come. Right now, Salen needed to keep a low profile and investigate “Lastly, where do I find these two?” He asked curiously.

“One is rumored to be in Verant, Boghadar… The other I’m not sure, although he was heavily involved with Dahlia… He was her husband until things turned sour; apparently, she brainwashed him to do many diabolical things and tried to blame it on him”

Salen smiled as he shrugged “Well, I’m going to start in Amoren, see if there's any clues there…”

Tiberius blocked the door and smirked, closing the door. Salen’s eyes met his as watched the blonde Sil’Norai tutt at the fact he was leaving “You’re not going anywhere, yet…”

Salen groaned out in protest before he rolled his eyes “Alright fine… We can be lazy… For a smidget, it’s not like she’s planning anything world ending right?”

The two would cuddle and playfully wrestle with each other until the next morning.
