Appearance
Of average height for his race, Midhir exhibits all of their characteristics. Despite his physical conditioning or perhaps because it also focused on flexibility, he is leaner than one might expect. His hair is at the darker range of gold for his race, his eyes gold, and his glossy skin marked by the patina of silver patterns. His features are sharp and his ears pointed. He dresses in the simple robes of his order, though he has not been fully confirmed. They mark him out, though he will likely experiment while on his walkabout.

He is afflicted with Tyrnac's Heritage. In his case, glassy patches cover each knob of his spine up his back and form a sort of crown on his head, though he files those down as they can grow quite sharp if left untended. A keen eye might catch a twinkle in his hair. He smiles a lot, probably due to being raised outside his race.

The Mark of Baptism, a faint silvery crescent moon, marks his brow, the horns disappearing under his hairline.

{Mark of Oath. Location. Pending development of magic.}

Personality
Midhir seems unwilling to follow the beaten track. With advancement and progress on his mind, he can seem to have an irreverence to old and outdated ways of thinking and doing things. He aims to free himself of personal and social conditioning. Although open to change in theory, he can be surprisingly stubborn. His idealism runs strong, but he can be very fixed in his opinions. Sometimes a bit aloof and even standoffish, Midhir nonetheless seems well-liked. He is curious and observant, and tolerant in a broad sense. Prejudice and bias are offensive to him. He can be clever, witty, and intellectual, but just as easily show his ignorance and naivete. He values progress and frankness. It’s difficult to throw him for a loop–he's generally on top of things. There is a bit of reformer in him. He will try to get you to see through superficiality, and encourage you to be open and forthright. “Be true to yourself” and “don’t follow the crowd” are mottos that might easily be associated with him. Midhir can be quite friendly, but he needs space and values personal freedom. Any attempt to box him in will likely fail. He will happily return the favor, and he will treat people from all walks of life as equals. Equality and fairness are hallmarks of his outlook. If you’re quirky and “different,” all the more interesting.

History
Midhir has some memories previous to his arrival at the Kullu Monastery, situated in the mountains of Khadai not far from where its border meets Daravin and Teos. There might have been parents, but they were more disjointed collections of impressions than memories, impressions that may very well have come from the monks who became his mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters. While he is aware of the basics of history, his training focused more on mastery of self through physical, mental, emotional, and magical exercise. Not a religion, per se, the monks of the Kullu Lineage focus on moderation and balance, finding there the path to the evolution of the spirit. He was not raised with a specific religion, but nominally respects other people's right to believe what they will. If they use that belief to cause harm to others, however, he was taught to prevent that harm.

His childhood and youth were relatively peaceful, but he did always yearn to know more of the world beyond. When he became a man, the leader of the lineage bade him quit the monastery to explore the world before making his vows to remain. Exhilarated by the prospect of an adventure, he prepared as best he could and made his way out of the mountains and into Southern Daravin to begin his wanderings.
