Bio: Xethe’s parents were opposites that attracted each other within seconds. Unfortunately, most of Xethe’s father’s attractions would stem from his own insecurities as a Siltori and although he loved Xethe’s mother, those insecurities would drive him out of his life when he was only a babe. Xethe was raised in Kalzasi under his mother’s care in her small herbal shop. He would learn magic from a neighbor, favoring animus, and eventually want to explore the world—specifically Auris since his mother spoke so highly of it. Xethe would eventually learn going there was a mistake. A majority of his time there was spent hiding in shame since he’s a half-blood. Once Xethe finally decided to move, he came across a Fae’Norai woman by the name of Rhana who grew fond of him. She thought he was very bright and strong too. Despite his race, she hired him as a bodyguard for one of her youngest children, Khaori. Khaori’s mother treated Xethe with much respect but he did not care for him whatsoever.
Xethe was often talked down to by Khaori and treated as if he was lesser. He only hung around because Rhana had high hopes for her child, promising Xethe that he would some day change. Trusting her judgement, Xethe stayed silent a majority of the time. That wasn’t too hard considering Xethe heavily guarded Khaori in unorthodox ways. He is very fond of large snakes, so he would spend a great amount of time in different forms of the species. To keep a closer eye on their surroundings, he would take the eyes of a snake as his own.
He only failed to protect Khaori one time and that time was the biggest mistake he had ever made. But Xethe couldn’t blame himself, they were outnumbered heavily. Being a mage, he lucked out on becoming a slave, however, he watched Khaori being carried away in chains. That would’ve been the perfect time to walk away, but Xethe promised to protect the fae noble and protect him he shall do.
