Appearance
- Cyrus is a handsome, light tan-skinned male in his early-20s with long golden tresses that's tapered to fit his face, crystal blue eyes that pierce the souls of those who gaze upon him, and smooth skin with spots of body hair. He usually has a clean-shaven face, though he is known to sport facial hair if given the chance.
Cyrus is 6' 1", approximately 215 pounds, physically fit, and maintains an exercise routine. Keeping himself in shape is important for two reasons. He must maintain the facade that he is an everyday average man, and he must be able to overpower his victims. Furthermore, a lot of Cyrus' death-dealing activities require a lot of dragging, heavy lifting, and occasionally the chasing of someone, so he can't afford to be out of shape.
Update:
After the events on Here, Haldir had to undergo cosmetic necromantic surgery to change his appearance after killing an argent knight during the nameless massacre. As such the new appearance is as followed. He now has gained a mesomorphic body thanks to the skills of his father in necromancy, allowing him to pack on muscle and size rather easily. Haldir has a rather imposing figure gaining a few more inches bringing him to stand at 6'4". He is rather built and is said to embody what masculinity is supposed to look like.
He has smooth porcelain skin, given a very nice down patch chest hair, and a happy trail. He has auburn hair now that he either keeps in a crew cut, or allows it to be somewhat messy, which is his signature hairstyle, as it compliments his facial structure. He has full, even eyebrows that sit above light blue eyes that catch the stare of many that look upon him. He has a smooth straight nose that fits into his symmetrical face topped off with a strong jawline.
His physique is built to perfection. He has broad shoulders that accentuate his large well-built chest. His legs and butt are well built as well which also accentuates his small waist, but has been strengthened during the reconstruction, giving a well-defined eight-pack & obliques. He has made an effort to keep his body in excellent condition and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Personality
- Cyrus is a dangerous monster born of tragic circumstances, though what makes him dangerous isn't that he is a monster, but that he is one hiding in plain sight. Calm and calculated, Cyrus is nihilistic in a sense, feeling that the ends justify his means and everything eventually becomes nothing.
Though unlike most serial killers, Cyrus shows great signs of restraint. For example, although Cyrus has no qualms to killing those he feels are a danger to society; a sickness, and the well-being of others, he absolutely refuses to kill with medicine and has never once done so, not even when it was his most viable option. He is also very disgusted with those who are impulsive and desperate.
History
- I honestly can't say what my life before meeting the Faust family was like, I was too young to really remember. My parents were killed when I was only three years old, fleeing from Daravin and oppression. It was upon my arrival in Lorien that I found salvation. With no one to protect me, I was within the care of a slaver, one who specialized in child slaves.
It was as we were passing through the capital of the city that my freedom was secured. A woman, an elegant woman who oozed grace stopped us, singling me from the group of children. She scooped me into her arms, with all the love a mother could give in her eyes. It was at that moment, I felt safe for the first time since my parents were killed.
Regina Von Faust, the wife of Nicoli Von Faust, bought my freedom, though if she had anything to say about it, it was a "Private Adoption. I lived a good life, wanting for nothing and enjoying what the life of a wealthy family had to offer. The Faust family were world mages, delving into the arcane arts such as Articify, Necromancy, and the like. But what many didn't know was that they also held a personal rune as well. Regina used Mentalism, whereas Nicoli was a practitioner of Bane, it's how I earned my magic.
At a young age, I was shown to appreciate the beauty in life by my new mother, mostly through medicine, as Regina was a doctor in a way. She was my everything, my rock. From three up til age thirteen, I was glued to my mother's hip, learning the art of medicine and appreciating the beauty in aiding others. It was during this time she had given me the Rune of Semblance, which would allow me to read other auras to better help soothe their ailments.
I especially loved to help her with her medicine at the family clinic in the capital. One day, however, my world changed. The clinic was robbed, and Regina was killed during the robbery. It destroyed me, as she was my world. That wasn't to say that I and Nicoli weren't close, but my bond with her was tighter, deeper. I became depressed, recluse, and shut away from the world.
That's when Nicoli came to me, he found the culprit who killed Regina, the one responsible for taking her away from us. I jumped at the chance to unleash the pent up emotion. To my surprise, the murderer was one of her patients, I remembered him very well. I couldnt believe it and my rage exploded. Taking the first thing off the wall I hit the men over the head, but Nicoli stopped me from finishing him.
He had a better idea in mind, showing me Affliction for the first time. Nicoli proposed we make him suffer, and I agreed. For seven days we kept him in pure agony. That was my first taste of torturing, and Nicoli said I was a born natural. I learn the basics of torturing during those seven days, and by the final day, Nicoli gave me the Rune of Bane. My first taste of the power was ending the murderer's life.
I wish I could say I regretted it, but I didn't as it was the moment I became who I am now. It was also the moment I realized that mortals were infected by a vicious disease. Greed, selfishness, arrogance, all ailments of the mortal conditions. I have taken it upon myself to cure this condition, one sick patient at a time.
"Mortals are nothing more than a disease, one that festers and spread like a cancer"
