Two seasons have passed since Ricky has lost his wife, now he works hard to look after the only person left in his life; his son. Yet parenthood has never been easy, and being a single father at a time like this; certainly makes life all the more difficult for our poor wolf.

Appearance

Humanoid Form
As a human Ricky tends to tower over everyone within this form, standing almost unbelievably shy over seven and half foot on his bare feet alone. Outwardly he comes of as dark and sometimes even unapproachable, due to the fact he almost never smiles when he's around strangers. Friends however may gradually lessen that firm frown however, as there are occasions where his indomitable resolve wanes around them. First impressions aside he's a heavy individual, with quite a sturdy frame built on strength and power. With strong arms that could swing an axe or sword for hours; a burly yet taught torso and legs firm as a the surface of a rock, it's a noticeable fact this man stands out from a crowd.

Often deterring to lighter or minimal clothing whenever he can swing it, the impressive half-breed is quite noticeably hairy all over his body. Rich dark brown locks cover his head and cheeks, with the rest of his body lightly coated in areas like the torso, arms, and of course his legs. Within his human form his skin complexion looks less affected by vitiligo, that is until you look closer towards his hands and feet as they begin to appear several shades lighter. The rest of his figure however is sun-kissed, due to the fact he wears so little clothing. It often a noticeable thing to notice when he hasn't bathed in a while, as he'll begin to smell more and more like a wild dog overtime; however he typically smells of cedar or pine after washing often.

Ricky will, under normal circumstances, not even bother trimming or styling his own hair, often letting it grow out to a certain length before finally cutting it short.

Faunis Form
When Ricky transforms into his faunis form, initially the process looks nearly as painful as it sounds. As the structural integrity of his body shifts and alters to accommodate the change, not very many can stand to be around from the numerous cracks and snaps that it heard. However the end product of the transformation proves to be a sight to behold, as Ricky's Faunis Form becomes that of a large black wolf with blue eyes. Standing at five and half feet on all fours, with a full set of canine teeth and massive paws, it's pretty obvious that he stands out even among the canine community.

True Form
Ricky's true form is one he typically refrains from showing, that is unless circumstances demand for him to do otherwise. As a half human and half Rathari the vitiligo becomes ever more present, with pockets of skin appearing severely darker in comparison. Short but sharp elongated nails develop on his fingertips, gifting him with a set of human like claws for defense. His ears also become more prominently pointed as result as well, enhancing his ability to detect audible noises within close proximity. Ricky's eyes also shift from their deep and calming blue hues, into dark predatory eyes to help him see in mildly dark places. Another possibly alarming feature which adds into the intimidation factor, is the rows of teeth that sharpen from his transformation also.

Within this form Ricky's speed is slightly enhanced, with more power in his legs for higher jumps and harder landings. For his natural strength however there is a slight trade-off, as he cannot hit as heavily in this form due to the speed increase.

Personality
Ricky is a very complicated individual who hides behind a layer of walls, more or less to keep anybody who he might feel attached to shut out. He is a very quiet and observant individual with very few smiles, that is until he no longer maintains the dark and rigid front he puts on. When that happens it then becomes clear who Ricky Maze really is, and that is a person who's deeply compassionate with a free-spirited mind. Always one to look for the silver lining in any of his situations, Ricky certainly proves unafraid to a hardy and proud individual; one with considerably a heart of gold.

However presiding over that interior remains the walls he maintains, as the half-breed fears the possibility of emotional attachment. Time being one of the cruelest aspects of his life, Ricky as grown to shut people out when he feels they get to close; often creating a divide between himself and the person in question. While he tries to maintain the appearance of the 'lone wolf' he pretends to be, he doesn't become completely unsociable towards others; only projects a surly if not gruff attitude towards others.

History

Origins
There was once a sailor who visited Kamden within Atinaw, to pay a visit to his favorite popular brothel house after a long voyage within the Chillwind Basin. Soon one of the harlots he favored, a Rathari woman by the name Mirielle, found herself pregnant not long after his visit. Thus Rickter Maze was born months later in that same house, only to be brought up without his mother no longer in the world. For moments after he had been born, Ricky suffered the tragic loss of his mother. Thus as a lonely boy who was half Rathari and half Human, Ricky grew to live in a world completely different from the children of Kamden.

Adulthood
For Ricky it has always, since the moment of his birth, been a constant struggle in this world. Yet despite his shortcomings he persevered, growing into a man who very much deferred to a solitary life. Yet the lone wolf wouldn't remain so for very long, as life somehow always threw a wrench into his plans; and it was no different the moment he came to meet a blonde woman. A busker. A performer who loved life and music, with such endearing passion, suffered a loss when the half-breed damaged her most prized possession. Left with little to no means of compensating for it, Ricky took it upon himself to repay her for the broken ukulele; leading the two of them to work together until that day finally came.

However the time spent together had effected Ricky to a degree, as he'd grown attached to the woman and her wily ways. So rather than leave Loras, where she lived, he had decided to linger around and spend more time with her. This led to the both of them eventually falling for one another, with Ricky later determined to marry Telion and form their own Kinship together. Months later after they were wed, they came to learn that they were expecting their first child together. It had become one of the more happier chapters of Ricky's life, with everything finally starting to look up after all his past ordeals.

Thus driven by all the positive change in his life Ricky started to turn around, focus on getting a proper education than the one he barely had. With the help of his beloved wife he worked hard, eventually getting a position as one of Loras' city watch as well. He had found a home there, a home that gave him the chance he never had for happiness. In turn Martin Maze was born within Glade's 119 AoS, with a healthy boy and a healthy mother to help raise him afterwards. For a moment everything started to look well for Ricky, as though fate no long cursed his very existence. Yet when the disease of Frost 119 AoS hit Grimholdt, Loras too suffered from the plague that afflicted so many.

Telion being one of those unfortunate enough who did not make it through winter...

With the arrival of the new 120th year of Aos, Ricky had buried his wife and lived as a single father. His only support system being a dear friend of Telion, and that of the Loras community, the half-breed focuses on looking after the only thing left in his life. The legacy of the one he loved, found in the growing child who no longer had a mother.

Worship and faith is a tricky subject for Ricky, as he grew up with little to no influence in regards to religion. He is aware that Dragon Gods and Mist Lords exist, as well as the legend of the Olds Ones within Atinaw's history. Of course he doesn't really demonstrate or practice worshipping any of these entities, as none of them have severely impacted his life in any way. He is however innately aware of something within him, an inborn instinct to loathe and despise Myshala for her sins against his animalistic half.

Introduction
Encountered not long after he had met the woman he had grown to love, Ricky learned from Telion what the power of Negation can do in a tense situation. Thus as their relationship grew together so too did their trust with each other, leading up to Telion gifting him with the power during their time spent working alongside one another. While he hasn't fully grasped everything the power has to offer, Ricky's prowess with the Rune's magic has been a slow and steady pace.


Rune Location: Placed on the left shoulder blade of his upper body, the Rune of Negation appears as a white circle with branches clustering from the center. The Rune emits a faint sapphire glow at the surface, which becomes noticeable in slightly dark areas.

There is also an innate force akin to second nature, one that drives the father to love and protect this child; no matter what it may cost in the long run.

Biography: A friend of Telion's that Ricky grew to know by working with for a while, together the two have hunted and explored the Grimholdt territory surrounding Loras. Since Telion's untimely death however she's stepped in to help, allowing Ricky to work with the comfort of knowing his son would be looked after during that time. She's a kind of woman who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, willing to help a friend or even a stranger; if she feels she can benefit from it. Her antics aside however she is very much free spirited, like Ricky, and isn't afraid to speak her mind most of the time; no matter how shameful her words might make her sound.

Of course the half-breed bastard has many questions revolving his parents, but in regards to the man who conceived him so long ago; Ricky's feelings are at best loathsome and resentful. Almost in a despising sort of way he disregards the idea of ever having a father, which could make the relationship between them interesting; should they ever come to meet in person.

Biography: Telion is a fitting example of what to expect in small packages, as she stood no taller than 5'ft 4'in whereas Ricky immediately dwarfed her in comparison. Nevertheless she was always a sweet and endearing soul, driven to treat others around her with kindness rarely found within the world. At first their relationship started out rocky, but eventually Ricky and Telion developed feelings for one another; leading them to form a True Marriage as he adopted the Maze name. After her death however Ricky's become a shadow of what he used to be, as she had left a hole within his heart that almost no one can hope to fill. Nobody except the living legacy she left behind, who Ricky protects diligently out of both love and respect for his departed beloved.
