Seasonal Calendar, Searing 4622
1st of Searing - Kyrikain Descends
On the first day of Searing, simultaneously with the Living God Evitrix, in Lorien, Kyrikain's presence becomes known within the Empire of Rust. His arrival is marked by great change; the minds of thousands of people across the Empire seem to warp, beggars and madmen becoming affixed on his prophetic dreams. The "gospel" of the Great Dreamer is proliferated across the halls of the city, and those who wish to do harm to his mind-warped acolytes find their attempts rebuked, the boundaries of reality working to dismantle their violence. Nearly every person in Daravin experiences more intense, and intensely lucid, dreams and nightmares for the next three months. On the fourth day of Searing, Year 4622, Kyrikain meets with the Pontifex, Ratheran, in the city of Carine.
8th of Searing - Nydden
While Kyrikain meets with the Pontifex of the Omen, the streets are littered with praise as to the return of "Nydden," one of Ulen's great Achra. Kyrikain is believed to be this divine being -- a messenger of the Returning King, with the black streaks and great purge of the skies from the season past being an example of the blinking of his Surveying Eye. The Empire becomes alight with religious fervor, and unlike in Lorien, Kyrikain's meetings with Ratheran are not widely publicized. Instead, what is alleged is that they meet amicably, and the God leaves for the Straits of Adena in the coming weeks.
28th of Searing - Brothers Brine and Glass
Kyrikain retrieves the Ameslari, as well as their leader (and his son) Emrik from the Straits of Adena. A week later, the Ameslari quickly develop an arcane fortification along Daravin's eastern coast, and the Omen begins to recruit for a second Ameslari expedition. According to Omen criers, the servants of the Achra Nydden are seeking to resolve the tyrannical reign of Lotheric, Lord of Brine and Tyrnac, Lord of Glass once and for all, calling upon the aide of heroes to help guide them through the Straits of Adena to their respective lairs. Recruitment continues throughout the season.
71st of Searing - Confirmation
Brilan Ald, Treveyn of Couronne, calls upon the Veir of her land -- the "Summer Court" -- to convene with her in discussing the alleged descent of the "Achra." Alongside hundreds of her courtiers, she performs a ritualistic group prayer, one that is said to be greatly theatrical in nature but effective in its result. Kyrikain comes to Brilan, and within the halls of her court they discuss the future of the Empire. Rumors spread wildly of what matters the two engage with, and as rumors spread that Lady Ash wished to bring "Nydden" to her court to subjugate him, a violent riot spreads through several of Amoren's slums.
89th of Searing - Beginning
With recruitment concluded in search of adventurers to help aide the Ameslari, the group embarks on their journey to contain the rampaging Elven Gods. While the Omen claims their intention is to slay them, all present are aware that -- in fact -- they wish to cleanse their minds to bring them back beneath the wing of the Living Gods.
