Appearance
Ulgan is considered to be quite a pale Orkhai by most standards from his mother's side, still inheriting the more physical aspects of the Orkhai race from their muscular build, protruding tusks, and bright orange eyes & black hair; though there are some Sil-Norai features from his father's side, mostly his lanceolated ears, sharp angular facial features, & glossy pewter grey skin tones.
Ulgan has two marks of control: an oyxn-cross that sits in the middle of his right clavicle & a series of various horizontal lines that resembles sound waves along his spine.
Racial Ability:
Rakish Might: Orkhai are known to be considerably more robust and more enduring than other races due to their powerful physiques. Their muscles are thicker and denser than others, enhancing their strength and durability. While this difference is not all too vast, it offers them a predisposition towards being dangerous melee brutes.
Personality
Ulgan is a humble person & welcoming person by nature, raised by the poor common folk of Radenor. Ulgan is a rather direct & bold man, but by no means it is meant to be offensive in any way; His view on life can be simply summed up as 'The few for the many'; As Ulgan is willing to risk his own life if it meant that more could live; Possibly to the point of it being selfish. Ulgan works tirelessly to ensure that plans are prepared to the end of possibly over-exerting himself. In essence, The half-Orkhai / half Sil-Norai is an advert lover of learning; Constantly trying to learn new things and understanding how the world works for better or worse & that innate curious will get him into trouble at certain times.

History
They were born into a household of typical farmers who dug their roots in Radenor soils. Ulgan is the child of an Orkhai mother and a Sil'norai father.
For an early portion of Ulgan's life, He assisted his family by being the necessary muscle required, from lifting large sacks of grain to tilting the fields day in and out. It was a simple & humble life, but something deep inside him yearns for something more; a calling to do more.
Ulgan's household often visited their local wooden shrine with painted murals of various symbols associated with the living gods of the realm. For Ulgan, his introduction to the art of Grave was through the different branded mages that would come and visit his quaint village to spread multiple tales about the gods. One particular diety that calls to him is Ysena, whose symbol revolves around a fertile tree.
The cloaked figure telling the story goes into lengthy details about how Venadr is the supreme deity and, how Iznantyr, Kyrkolax & Ysena were given particular roles to aid Venadr in maintaining the world, and how the Corrupted Ones would fall to their demise in various gruelling details which explains why the gods have left this world.
After hearing these wondrous tales & inspired to help those in need, Ulgan decided to learn more about the gods and what they could offer to help his home better. There were many options that Ulgan could go for; Being a soldier or physician, but what fascinated him the most was the capacity to do more than what the mortals could do. To bend the world towards a better place with magic, though there is a lot of scepticism about the mystical arts.
A decision that would set his path in stone; For Ulgan, his sacrifice of becoming an outcast of society to help his home was more than an acceptable price. With that, his initiation to becoming a branded mage began, and the process of being a branded mage was a painful process like the back of his left elongated ear was seared with a notable mark to show everyone that he was indeed a mage and a lengthy process of training in the mystical arts would be perilous.
His mentor, Astrid Algar, is a stunning lady of noble background & a prickly demeanour that lives to pursue the art of Necromancy and the magics that invoke the dead at her will. Astrid trained Ulgan in the arts of manipulating the souls of the deceased for a wide variety of applications & suturing bodies for various purposes. Astrid noted that Ulgan would make an excellent candidate due to his physical capacity, and it was from there, that Astrid recommended another Senior Mage to initiate Ulgan in Malformity.
To say the training under his mentor was challenging is an understatement; all of the work Ulgan had to endure had its rewards and prices that needed to be paid; In Ulgan's case, his mentor demanded his right eye be given as proof of loyalty to the serve the crown and will serve as a method to make sure he falls in line for a rogue mage is a dangerous mage. With the demand set in stone, Ulgan had very few choices, but he saw that missing an eye was a small price to pay if it meant that he could learn the various mystical arts that could better help his people of Radenor.
It would be many years of constant guidance from his mentor and being sent out to do a variety of tasks & missions that would later prove he would be capable of doing a job that many would dread; entering into foreign lands & assisting in gathering information about various plans, economic secrets & monitoring the level of unrest that looms in enemy territories. Before leaving Radenor, Astrid made it clear that it was important that everyone's identities were masked and that they would only communicate to others via letters, dropoffs, signals or secure safe house, and that everyone had a codename; In Ulgan's case, his codename was known as the Ashen Cat.
For the time being, Ulgan is sent with a small team of spies to infiltrate Daravin & act as a supportive cog within the group, working to provide potential safe-houses, relaying essential details to other spy cells & groups and exfiltrate when his colleagues need him to do.
