Seasonal Events: Frost 120
To all Lorien players: here are the major events occurring in Lorien, in the Season of Frost, Year 120.

6th of Frost - The Nameless Butchering
Directed by the Omen, which believes some of their enemies may be hiding among them in Nivenhain, the Crown sends countless Hollows and Knight-Argent to Lower Nivenhain to terrorize the local Nameless population. They senselessly butcher the adults of the city district by the thousands, and place countless bounty posters for mages and heathens of foreign religions. Shortly thereafter, resulting from the massive influx of filth from rotting corpses, a wave of disease spreads through Lower Nivenhain and further, massively hinders the population. Stories of the massacre are reported widely across Lorien, and while in Nivenhain and Breven publications are largely shut down, debates ripple throughout the East and West End, as well as Brandt, on the inhumane treatment of the Nameless, and whether they should be given rights.

21st of Frost - Conclave of the West
House Alderset and House Galbrecht officially form an alliance, creating the strongest allied force the Kingdom has seen in decades. Westfalen's former Pact mages form a similar arcane barricade from the Kindred as is seen in Brandt, and some of the mages from the Pact and Covenant join them in their efforts, reinforcing the Duchy.

33rd of Frost - The Breven Uprisings
After information on the Nameless Butchering manages to move through Breven through word of mouth and gossip, already-high tensions stir throughout the city of Amhern, Lorien's most radical city. Uprisings and riots occur throughout Breven's northern cities, demanding justice for the massacre, as well as the head of Annalise Florent, who called for it to take place. Those dissatisfied with their de facto Lord -- Cailan Florent -- take to the streets by the thousands, only for hundreds of them to be shot down or beaten dead as Hollows descend upon them. For the first time, a mass anti-Celebrant riot takes place in the County of Brent, where several Celebrant allied to House Florent are butchered, their heads placed on pikes. The Lord-Mayor of Amhern is among those killed.

54th of Frost - The Great Frost of Essen
At the peak of winter, when Von Rabe is most powerful, he ascends from the grounds of the East End and flies towards Brandt, his massive, hundreds-feet-long frame casting a dark shadow as it passes through the sky, beating his magnificent white wings. The vulture is struck several times by the Aether Cannon, and countless more by innumerable mages, but manages to unleash a great and terrifying blizzard upon the city of Essen. The blizzard rages for a period of seven days, and despite the best efforts of the resident magi - many of whom die to Overstepping and Mageblight to protect the city from the frost - over a third of Essen's entire population is killed, resulting in the worst massacre in Lorien history. In total, around two hundred and fifty thousand people die, and the Covenant-Pact -- as well as House Galbrecht -- relocate to the western coastline of Brandt, where Von Rabe is weaker. Players are free to play this, including attacking Von Rabe, so long as they stick within described parameters.

55th-74th of Frost - The Veil Fades
Sustaining heavy damage during the attack on Essen, Von Rabe retreats to another plane to recover so that he is not hunted by the Covenant-Pact. Despite being in the depth of winter, Lorien for the first time experiences days, weeks without the veil of frost. Rather than snow, rain pours down, and the Kingdom's many green fields reveal themselves for far longer than expected. The Kindred hide in the East End for a prolonged period, and many Celebrant use the opportunity to either join the Galbrecht and Alderset in Westfalen or Western Brandt, or flee the country.

75th of Frost - Von Rabe Returns
Fully recovering from the damage dealt to him at the hands of the Aether Cannon, Von Rabe returns to Lorien, and brings with him - once more - the icy grasp of the Kingdom's eternal, wintry veil.

78th of Frost - A Tyrant's Pact
The Emperant of Daravin is invited to Nivenhain to speak with Von Rabe. Informants within the court immediately reveal what transpires: Von Rabe offers an alliance with the Emperant, where the Kindred and the King's forces will strike the West End from the east, while Daravin invades from the southern borderlands. The Emperant appears to accept the offer.

82nd of Frost - Franz Joins the Rebellion
Prince Franz Revenlow manages to escape to Western Brandt, where he joins forces with House Galbrecht, becoming propped up as the King they will place upon the throne if the rebellion succeeds. He claims that his parents are being forced to ally with the Kindred to spare their own lives, but denounces them for their cowardice. This development results in a massive rallying around the rebellion's cause, greatly increasing favorability towards the rebellion throughout Brandt and the West End, as well as creating dissidents in Nivenhain and Breven.

86th of Frost - The Assault on Westfalen
The Kindred, as well as the forces of Nivenhain and Breven, perform an assault on Westfalen, believing that the Emperant of Daravin will assist them from the south. However, Emperant Justane abandons this endeavor and stays his troops, resulting in a devastating loss where several Kindred are killed, as well as a large number of Knights. The Dread-Arbiter himself is wounded, leaving the city docks in the form of a powerful Kindred-Wohlricht.

90th of Frost - The Lietzau Documents
Prince Franz is named 'pretender-King', seeking to unseat his father. He publishes a series of documents: The Lietzau Documents, which detail his intended changes for the Kingdom once his father's throne is taken and the Kindred are defeated. Some of the Manifesto's stated goals draw immense controversy: The Nameless caste is to be abolished, and current Nameless living in Lorien are made citizens; Magic is made legal, under supervision of the Pact; the Omen (including the Ulendreaist sect) is made a public heresy, punishable by death; worship of the Living Gods is restored throughout the Kingdom. On the very night the documents are revealed, a Savant Commoner attempts to assassinate Prince Franz, though the Prince survives the attempt.
