Standing at an unintimidating 5'4", Johanna is possessed of a body that was practically made for dance. With long slinky legs, moving with an almost feline grace is what nearly defines the femme's silhouette. An hourglass shape which focuses most of her weight upon her hips is filled out with a healthy weight, contrasted by the conspicuous lack of a bosom. Instead, it seems, most endowment went straight to the flanks.
Johanna's body is framed by a near-cloak of raven black hair, which reaches down to the upper thighs. Her skin is almost blanched, pale as marble. Strangely purplish-blue hued eyes peek out from beneath heavy lashes, hooded yet expressive according to mood.
Personality
Mysterious, aloof, and excitable. It takes much to distract Johana from her studies with the viol, much to the chagrin to many political suitors. She is notorious for being closed off from the general noble circles, often simply reciting what is expected. It is when she is approached by those less expected, that she seems to provide a more open view into her personality.
The result? Either extreme melancholy, or an undying thirst for adventure. The outcome is as mercurial as the winds.
History
Johanna was born into the Fairwyne lineage: a minor vassal line beneath House Florent. A name that threatens to pass into obscurity with each generation.
Childhood was simple. Expectations were that Johanna would marry up, in some last ditch effort of keeping the family's control over their holdings absolute. Curriculum simply meant household savings, the arts, and etiquette. Nothing exceptional was expected out of Johanna, outside of the imperative nature of her becoming the most eligible for a political arrangement. And so, she was groomed to he best of the hired helps' abilities.
With one fatal flaw: due to the hands off nature of the hierarch of the Fairwyne name, Johanna was accidentally raised as a woman.
The realization came during the presentation of Johanna as a debutante for the first step of the hierarch's plan. Rather than arrive in a finely tailored suit with a brocade cravat, she had arrived in powders and a silhouette-shaping dress. Though, Johanna didn't much care. The clothes fit easier, and the corsets weren't as bad as she thought they would be. After years of training, to her, it just felt like a waste not to put it to good use.
Adulthood was when things became strained. Johanna's father's claim to the title of Vassal was contested several times by upstart gentry. His failure to produce a second heir was apparent, no matter how many attempts were made. For better or worse, he was stuck with having only Johanna. His pride, however, forced him to continue the charade as though it was expected all along. His plans became darker, as he attempted to use his own son's wiles to gain information from other courts.
On one hand, he succeeded: Johanna was enjoyed by finer company and able to blend in with the crowds.
On the other? Johanna was not cut out for espionage, and would often forget the entire plan, even when given basic instructions.
In current years, Johanna has largely been abandoned by her father, who focuses on attempting to desperately fix his own impotence. Most evenings are spent learning how to play a new instrument, or practice a dance that was passingly mentioned as being popular at court. What will become of the Fairwyne family and its members is left to be seen, but one thing is certain: No matter how many suitors are sent, it seems that Johanna simply cannot perform subterfuge as expected.
