In the year 4622, Von Klade Can Co. was born in the empty boundaries of an old factory, once developed to mass-manufacture sulphite paper. Forming in the Revenant Sea, the large manufacturing hub quickly became plastered with posters and advertisements of a new way of eating and storing foods and goods -- a revolutionary shift for the Rien people, at the hands of a Knight with an inventive mind and good intentions. With a war raging in the nation, the prospect of long-lasting stored foods became one with natural outreach, and VK C Co. forged its path as an industrial pioneer. While the company did not invent canning as a technology, it has worked with the University of Nivenhain to convert the currently understood science and technology into a mass-manufacturable consumer good, extending innovation to the public in the form of millions of meals worth of dozens of different foods.

Von Klade Can Co. sells a variety of different canned consumer goods, supplementing everyday groceries and becoming a staple in Loric personal food storage. VK Can Co's goods include canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup, canned bread, and various cooking and baking ingredients, such as broth, stock, and more. The types of canning offered by VK Can Co. are variable, with tin canning, jar canning and vacuum canning the three most common methods. Jar canning is generally used to store things like fruits and vegetables, such as suspended olives, green beans, corn and pickles, while tin is the general canning method for most foods, and vacuum canning is mostly meant to store dry foods (such as pasta and rice). Most of these methods use a heat method to force oxygen to leave the can or jar, before closing the jar with an airtight seal to ensure no further oxygen diffuses into the space.
VK Can Co. markets mostly to the population of Lorien, and has special outreach to the Argent Knighthood. The founder, Taelian von Klade, is a noted Argent Knight himself, and first began to consider this idea when pondering ways military rations and travel supplies might be made more reliable and efficient. For this reason, VK Can Co. has a large sector of its production and distribution focused towards supplying the Argent Knighthood of Lorien, who may carry canned goods in their travel belongings as an auxiliary nutritional measure, or will have canned food delivered to them across the nation's many railways.
