hether you think you can or you can't, you're right. -Henry Ford

It wasn’t a matter of being right or wrong. He, and several others, saw the Dragons approach not too far off. Dragons as dark as the night sky. Dragons who were often seen as an ill omen. A sign of death to come. But Rien had thought otherwise. He believed that they were a omen but not necessarily one of ill will. Death was not always a burden, though it brought sorrow in its wake. It also helped to relieve pain and help those who were stuck move on. And so it was decided, much by himself, that he would head off in search of these Winged Beasts. To hold a conversation with them and find out why they had come. Of course they may not be willing to tell him and he might just die for this quest. But it was one that interested him enough into pushing on.

Resting the full night before and awaking before the sun rose into the sky. He went about his quest. Loading his bag with supplies and rations that he might need as well as an offering of a roast pork that he had cooked up. It wasn’t much but it was about all he could think to offer. With his bag slung over his shoulder and his spear in hand. He set out with his newly bought companion at his side. A young hunting dog that he had bought on a whim. Deciding to name him Kalos. He had decided this would be the first adventure for the two of them.

A chance to bond while testing and improving his own skills. It was perfect! At least in his mind. He bid his farewells to his crew at the High Hopes and set out. Stepping against the cobbled stone as he made his way in the direction that he had believed they landed. Not sure how far out they were, he was sure that he would be gone for a few days. So his crew was instructed to hold down the fort. He trusted them to be honest and run the place in his absence. Besides it wasn’t like he was going to be there all the time.
