The male in front of him seemed aggravated by his attempts to try to be nice, although it just made his eyes roll, it wasn't until he turned around and realised the bump "Alright..." He answered quietly and yet it seemed passive aggressive, but he didn't know how to react to the bump. He appeared to be scolded by Vivian's ranting, his eyes would linger on him yet again as he turned the conversation to Degare's property, it appeared that he was deep within the shit again, he had to get help from somewhere... Where was he gonna go?

The Remnomancer seemed to be fixated on the bump slightly as he was deeply concerned if it was a product of mageblight or weither he had actually been impregnated. He stared at the other male and frowned. "Well, I guess he's left us both in the shit, I guess he's just like the rest of them. Veir are willing to take advantage of other's for it's the way that society was built around them, if this society collapsed, they wouldn't know where to turn, they are too busy worshipping a god who doesn't even exist..." He sighed as he appeared to be angry, so much that he wanted to vent his feelings to the other male, but yet it wasn't going to be through conventional means.

His magic allowed him to show other's the philosophy of the mind and how certain events shape other's into what they are today. Only a mastermind of the Reverie could understand the memories of others through their pain, pleasure, hopes and dreams. He was a grasper of knowledge and a sharer of wisdom, perhaps he needed to share something with him "You want sleep so bad huh? Fine... But I wanna show you something..." He began to channel his ether, casting Mind Collision upon Vivian. Salen would remain awake as Vivian would be forced into a deep sleep.

Vivian was pulled into Salen's Reverie, a hall of mirrors with a labyrinthine structure, eventually the hall of mirrors would shatter and eventually pull him into a memory, where Vivian would witness an half-Sil'Norai with a hunchback, offering a platter of food to a Veir, he eventually has the platter slapped out of his hand, followed by angry inaudible ranting. Eventually, the Veir reacted aggressively as Salen appeared to be choking. Umbraplasm was being shoved down his throat as he could feel it worming around his soul. The male had succeeded and eventually the Veir threw his body out, thinking he was dead.

The fact is he survived the initiation but only barely as he was weakened. That appeared to be his day of freedom. A Mark of Nightfall, given to him out of spite.

Vivian saw Salen’s eyes focused on his belly, and protectively wrapped an arm around it. “This isn’t Degare’s if that’s what you’re thinking.” He growled, and once he settled in bed turned his back on him. He closed his eyes, trying to resume precious sleep. What in hell was he going to do? By the time he felt Salen’s ether touch him, it was too late. He was already asleep, and he woke up in a hallway of mirrors. Vivian gritted his teeth. Another Remnomancer. Degare was one of these. He should have known to be more careful around mages he didn’t know. Worry worked it’s way up his back, and he touched his belly again. He had something precious to protect. It wasn’t just himself anymore.

He saw the memory unfold before him, and glared. Salen had been initiated much like himself; against his will. This memory was attempting to get pity out of him, and Vivian did feel sympathetic toward Salen’s plight. However, he didn’t know the man. He was in a foul mood, and was feeling intruded upon. Salen had come in demanding things from the house to benefit himself, and clearly Degare owed the man something…but he’d have to move on as they all did.

“I swear to all the gods you’re going to be spending the night in my stomach if you don’t cut it out!” Vivian roared, unsure if the mage could hear him.

He could feel the other male's terror from within. The remnomancer never knew any malice, but an accidental view of his own Engram drew him to change the landscape back to the hall of mirrors once again, a white and opaque land, surrounded by the mere reflections of hopes and dreams he had accrued aswell as the savage nightmares that would attack his mindscape. As a remnomancer, he was vulnerable to his dreams becoming a reality in the physical forms of illusions.

He heard Vivian roar out in anguish as he appeared to be pissed by the fact that he was pulled into a mind. He sighed and shook his head before rolling his eyes, he didn't know how pregnancies worked but it was evident that Vivian's hormones were running loose as he stepped forward and crossed his arms with a frown "Will you just relax, I'm trying my best to solve your problem..." He said with a sigh, as he appeared. Salen's memory would stop for a moment as Vivian would appear within the hall of mirrors once again. He eventually called upon a Phantasm of a table, two chairs and Griscian tea borrowed from Thomas' mindscape. Those were the days he went on a full blown voyage, exploring every detail of a mind, but he was seeking guidance that day. Although, perhaps he needed more answers.

He eventually used Mnemonic Impression to transform the mirrored landscape into a sunshine filled serene field of green glass and hills that went on for miles, It was the idea of heaven "Well, here we are... A place of pure sleep, right now you are actually sleeping, dosing off softly and dreaming about this place" The smell of grass and summer fruits echoed across the landscape "Degare was far too amateur for things like this... Should've known not to give him my mark, he was just a pure idiot..." He smiled.

He sighed as he crossed his arms for a moment "By the way, I should remind you, I brought you to my memory palace, so before you start accusing me of altering your mind, I wouldn't do anything as low as those wigs..." He referred to the Entente as wigs because of their high society look and the way they dressed; it was obvious some of them wore wigs to galas.

"Now, tell me how you ended up here after all this time, after all I told you my intentions honestly. Atleast give me some sort of reciprocation, a form of trust if you will?" Salen could sense Vivian's reluctance to do so, but he didn't force him, instead if he broke from the Mind Collision, he knew he may have to back away, knowing a giant worm creature would be let loose upon him "Unless you still think I'm going to hurt you..." Salen was more terrified about being food for the Malformist, that he risked trying to calm him. The question is, what was Vivian going to do?

"What problem?!" Vivian snarled the moment Salen appeared. He wasn't about to get an answer, for the place shifted again. He stood in front of a table and chairs. A strange tea curled up from a pot, though the odor was faint. In dreams nothing was ever like it was in real life. Vivian tensed as the image shifted yet again, throwing him into a rolling meadow. It was sunny, going on for miles with the scent of summer in his nose. Salen was showing him what he thought he wanted. Vivian gritted his teeth. He didn't like the other man inside his head, though from what Salen was showing him he didn't have much of a grasp on Vivian at all. That was encouraging. Degare had pinned him quickly, shown him his own mindscape with alarming accuracy. He had lanced right through.

"I know what this is." Vivian snapped at Salen. "Degare was an ass but he wasn't an amateur nor an idiot. You and I both know better. He survived your Initiation but he wouldn't have survived mine." He folded his arms over his chest. "What makes you think I owe you anything? You barged in here, demanded answers, demanded some sort of clue that doesn't exist...you're fucked. Understand? If you were relying on Degare for anything you're fucked."

Vivian sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "You can hurt me, and if you try you'll never leave the bed you're sitting in." he growled. "What do you want? What is it exactly Degare owed you?" He added in a defeated tone.

Salen appeared to be getting pissed at Vivian's constant whining about the situation as he sighed "Sleep! There I gave you it, and you're still whining..." He said with a sigh as he facedesked against the table, already feeling his head pounding due to the amount of demands he was telling him. It appeared to be a build up of anger, resentment and even the pain of living the way he did. Degare had told him about his bloodline and his lost house, everything that conspired between Dahlia, Cordelia and her husband Lorenzo. He had an idea that Dahlia had caused the loss of his bloodline, through her lies, her secrets but he simply couldn't do anything about it.

For now...

Salen listened to Vivian rant on further, before he rolled his eyes yet again "He survived my initiation because I guided him, but now I feel like I should've left him to fend for himself, letting him become a hundred-and two-year-old FUCKING corpse." He said with a sigh as he sighed, knowing that was a pretty idiotic situation that he had brought himself in.

Salen appeared to hide under his desk, before suddenly flipping the table, heaving with anger "He... He owed me atleast some guidance, his approval that House Auclair once belonged to me... Instead, he disappears like a coward, unable to meet those demands! WHAT KIND OF PERSON DOES THAT!" He screamed out in ferocious anger as he sighed, before his dreamscape appeared to change in tone, the skies became more purple, dark and gloamy, there would be thunder crashing down around them. It was harmless, but frightening as he looked at Vivian with his cold, icy stare. "All... All I wanted... All I ever wanted was to not live in this fucked up society... I've... Had... ENOUGH!" He screamed his final words of anguish, before the place returned to it's serene atmosphere.

Eventually, he just curled up into a ball and began sobbing, realising how fucked he was, and how sorry he was feeling for himself. His weeping would continue, before he would calm down. "I'm sorry for disturbing you, I... I'll leave if that's what you want..." He shuddered and sniffled, wiping his eyes He took a deep breath "I didn't come to hurt you... I came for answers and I got them. I guess I should be more careful flying into windows... First time flying using Umbraplasm..." He stated.

"Mind if... I stay here? Just for a couple of nights?"

“Not a really restful sleep is it? I wanted oblivion instead I have a magical man child shouting and flipping tables.” Vivian said dryly, eyeing the table as it flopped over and skittered along the grass. The thunder and lightning was a mere reflection of the stranger’s mental state, not anything truly frightening, and Vivian had weathered enough male mental breakdowns to last an eternity. He raised an eyebrow and stood fast, listening closely to Salen’s ranting and raving.

So he had been promised the legacy of a family. It seemed Vivian wasn’t the only one strung along, but he wasn’t surprised. He was more surprised that, knowing Degare, Salen had been so damn naive. He approached the other mage carefully and sat next to him as he sobbed. “You’re ridiculous.” He sighed. “You really thought Degare would help anyone? He got what he wanted out of you. Did you actually ever meet the man? He never pretended to be anything more than he was, and he was not a kind man.”

Hesitantly Vivian patted Salen’s shoulder. “Gods you upper class types are so fucking fragile. I’ve seen better reactions out of girls on their first nights out. But yes, you can stay. With your bloody anger issues I don’t want you running off stabbing someone. But let me warn you,” He grabbed Salen by the chin, his fingers pressing firmly into the other man’s skin.

“If you pull me into this without my knowledge or consent again, I will give you a gift that will eat you inside out for the next two seasons. Do you understand me?” Vivian growled. “I do not like being blindsided and my head is my own. I don’t care if you think this is a restful sleep. It isn’t.”

He released Salen and gestured around them. “Let me out of this and into normal oblivion. We can talk in the morning.”

Salen glared at the way Vivian would point out his reigns like that, but perhaps a second thought on the matter would reign free as he would listen, rolling his eyes as he dug into him about Degare's promise, but then he knew it was a thing, never to trust a Veir to give you their word. Especially when they have an agenda of their own "Like Degare, that's the same with all of Entente's folks... But what do they fear most. The wrath of Ulen." He said bluntly in a voice of bitterness, anguish and sharp tone. He shook his head as he didn't want to give up, but he was bound to make a plan against them; against them all.

"Upper class types! Well let me-" As soon as Salen started to speak and raise his arguement, he could feel the tight clutch of his chin. He could feel Vivian's digits against his jaw as he glared at him, but then softened his expression knowing that it may have been his own doing "Fine... I won't warp you into a dream without permission, you have my word" He said with a sigh as he proceeded to push Vivian out of his Reverie, into his own trait of existence. He ended the Mind Collision and returned to the reality of the world. He took one last look at Vivian, before silently walking over to the door and slipping it shut slowly.

He would step into Lucia's old room, still empty and untouched so it would seem. He would lay down upon the bed, before taking a look at the locket that Tiberius gave him, the last remainder of his current existence, in the form of an object.
