It wasn't a very great start for Salen, it's as if he was thrown violently, back and forth like a yo-yo. It seemed Dahlia had lost the soft touch on him ever since the day he was given that assignment. He took a walk through Entente Square in his serf-like disguise. Usually, if he were walking with Dahlia they'd both be fitting into Entente names. Today he wasn't. It was a relief that there were times he could be himself instead of Julian Vardani, or some other pompous noble name. Although the accounts of sex and drugs had left him craving for stimulation. He could feel his mind tinker in such needs. Dahlia had stopped providing those for him, since the day she became aloof, cold and bitter. He had to find his own source of stimulants from somewhere.
A quick stroll along the outskirts of Amoren would surely suffice, although it was normal for him to feel a sense of dread. Those eyes watching you. Not to mention, he knew that Dahlia was quite skilled in Remnomancy. He knew she had the power to appear in his dreams, track him if she wanted. That fear still remained inside him, knowing that he would be looking over his shoulder constantly. Why did he feel such a fear? It wasn't like his mentor would hurt him or do anything bad to him, but there were times when he questioned it. Maybe paranoia was speaking for him.
Who knows.
For a moment he stopped at a empty campsite. He narrowed his eyes skeptically as he walked along, inspecting stuff as he looked over his shoulder. This was odd. A strange anomaly for the man; he turned towards the campfire as it was freshly burnt out. Someone had been occupying the area for a while so it would seem. He furrowed his eyebrows, perhaps he should mind his own business, or take a look further.
Maybe they left behind the cravings he was looking for.
Drugs.
