The moon was high above Linden and Cas who wasn't amused one bit even with bribery. So far, Linden made all of his check-ins and deliveries to the rural part of Loregard even if it took a bit longer than anticipated. With a woven basket in hand, Linden held up a carrot and handed it to Cas who took it greedily, eating the tops as well before their nose bumped Linden's cheek.

"I know, I know," he mutters. "Things happen, you know that and I don't like leaving when they have questions or need help."

Setting the basket in the cart, the two began to make their way down hill on the well-worn path that held some deep grooves to show that wagons and other wheeled carts moved through often. Sadly, it didn't mean that there weren't issues since there were still rocks that liked to have a go with the wooden wheels.

"So Cas, did you know the Smollan's mare had a foal? Cute little thing and I know they are excited because that means another helper for their field. As you tasted moments ago, their carrot patch is doing quiet well," from what the moonlight provided and lit up the path just enough to know where to step. A couple of times his ankles rolled a little that made him walk faster to be in front of Cas that just nibbled and tugged at the dark curls.

"Stop that," he says over his shoulder while swatting them away. Getting the hint after a few more tugs to move to the side as they walked side by side with Linden telling them about how the salves seem to be working better since he added a few things to it. Oh and the improved mugwort tea has been aiding some of the people with their bowels and for some of the women, their feminine time. Who knew."[/b]

Linden continued to talk to Cas as the topic slowly drifted to between Dolur and himself as of late. The Dwarf surgeon/artificer believing that Linden wasn't suited for the craft and should focus on apothecary. Medicine was so broad and with his natural inclinations it suited him. Naturally, the two will butt heads over it, but Linden could see where the other was coming from. Didn't mean he liked it, but since the Plague it had Linden question a few things.

Was he trying to do too much? His pursuit of medicine treating the patients with his new medicine more like an experiment and what were the adverse effects? How many times did he make a mistake that made the situation worse? How many times will he have to deal with that no matter how prepared he was that people will die?

CRACK!

The sound of the cart wheel breaking had Linden turn around quickly with Cas braying with the shift. "Damn."
