Appearance
Camille can be a sight to behold with curly black hair, chestnut brown eyes, and chestnut skin. Wearing an ornate black eyepatch after losing his left eye in a fight with his father, he often wears black, blue, and black robes. His voice is somewhat rougher than the regular baritones of most men.
Personality
Approachable
Rarely does he seek much time for himself. When he is not studying for his craft, he can be found speaking with one or more people. His voice bears a Raillen accent, intense and, when he needs it, powerful. A lovely smile and hearty laugh abound with him. He talks properly yet sometimes rather casually when it is uncalled for.
Confident
With fearlessness to spare, he eagerly tackles any obstacle in his path and does not quickly back down from a challenge. However, he can also be stubborn, not stopping until he has a solution or meets his goal. Furthermore, he does not turn a blind eye to wrongdoing, willingly defending others when needed.
Resentful
Having his free will taken from him, he burns to be freed of the chains imposed upon him. Yet, deep down, he is enraged at his current circumstance and the desire to escape it. He has another sinister laugh that he gives in anger, which will bear a Raillen accent even to the laughter. He will use others if he can and hurt others for his freedom.
History
The dreams we do not fight for can haunt us for the rest of our lives, and some never get to fight for them. Camille's peers would play with him and invite him to fun things, but they paled and fled from his father's daunting presence. While his father did not want him around just anyone, his mother tried to make him see that having friends could be good. His mother cared for his well-being, while his father cared only about achieving power to pull from the decline. Despite this disagreement, Camille went outward, making friends like a spider making its web, which only slightly moved his father's stony scowl - He would spin another web around his son.
Born and raised in Amoren as an only child, he suddenly took to life as a socialite. Due to his father's ill influence, Camille took the bullying of the Candor as a challenge to overcome, and be it with words or a strong fist, any bullying lessened instantly. In addition, his family owned a sizable smithing business. He joked of an interest in Grave - and was forcefully initiated into it at 15 years old in order by his family to lay claim to the Entente status from his ailing half-uncle, securing a rise in the ranks and becoming one of the elites. Though initially struggling with its practice, he overcame the hurdles with heart and grit, despite being initiated against his will, finding closure with his mother and an Entente named Siel. Siel often took him to graveyards with freshly killed birds to harvest Vitessence and occasionally went out with him for training journeys. However, his father signed off on Siel for the moment - mainly due to his status as an Entente. Camille and Siel got on well for five years until Siel was attacked at night and did not survive with treatment - and the body was supposedly not found. During their searches, Camille noticed signs revealing where Siel's body was, leaving notes of his killer - which enraged Camille immediately after the funeral.
Camille approached his father in frustration despite missing his one true friend, and a fight nearly broke out. And so, as punishment, his father sent him to the Mages Guild as a Novus. The humiliation. How could his father banish him from the family home and into the Demerek's Chapter in Southern Northradica? His nose was locked in books, keeping his track as pristine as possible. Most who knew Camille viewed him as a personable and scholarly man, even in his coterie. He did whatever was asked by his superiors without question and began to live hand-and-mouth. With spite in his heart, he got initiated into Brand, investing in weaponry to prepare for his revenge. He even bonded with a fellow coterie member and initiated her into Grave, a woman named Eulalie. They turned out to be good friends, and while he shared her interest in healing others, he could not deny still burning for revenge. Taking his experience in Grave in heart, he continues to train further in Brand.
Recently, he was secretly sent Siel's old sword by his mother as a present. It was a ceremonial blade Siel's family had commissioned after the young man became an Entente, and no one except Siel himself had ever touched it. Nevertheless, he was willing to take great care of it, as it was the last reminder of his faithful friend.
