The girl made quick work of letting herself be right at home. He watched her get cozy shutting windows and peering under the bed. While it may have been odd to some to Podvrak he simply sat deadpan and waited for her to be finished before he started speaking.
"Yes, you owe the mistress at the library a book. I am tasked in bringing it back. A lot hangs in the balance for me on this... I hope you have kept it in good care?"
The gnome woman nodded and fetched it from a pack, it looked like they were ready to leave on the next Dimp out, Vrak assumed. Her hand was even moreso dwarfed in Vrak's own as he took the small book from her. It was titled, "Kingdom of Lorien's Finest Tales" written by a well known bard to him. This book was indeed old and assuming from the source filled with good knowledge. He opened the book to leaf through the pages and caught Vera peering at them as well, where she was talkative before now she was studious and quiet. They got to a particular page about Lorn Wraiths, which described them as the souls of past Kings and Queens. Vera seemed interested in this page and Vrak took note of that while they were leaving. Although he, the gnomes, and Vera had parted ways he took that night to transcribing the page of the book on a flyleaf of "Ecstasy of the Heart".

He wrote down each word in beautiful calligraphy, taking his time on each note and sounding out the syllables just as the bard had wrote it. The more he read about the beast the colder his skin got. It was gruesome and there was no telling if in these solemn peaks did one lurk. He wrote about their great weapons in his dainty scrawl curving each letter with care and thinking about his own, Weaver, wondering what if he became this beast after his own death. It was almost too much to bear. That was until he got to the part where it boldly told a rendition of a Lorn Wraith killing a Kindred in combat. He was transfixed in the description as it painted a beautiful picture and we made sure to embellish his favorite part a little more. There wasn't much room on the flyleaf yet he managed to squeeze one more juicy bit on the paper, they were mostly peaceful creatures unless threatened, unliving in far reaches all in total solitude.

He was lucky to catch Vera before she left the tavern, he pushed the paper into her hand and told her it was a gift and thanked her for helping. He bid her farewell and then headed up to his bed to rest. He would return the book in the morning. That night the gnomes had slipped away and they were never seen again.
