The beginning of Glade marked the beginning chapter for our bartending hero, as we got to look at firsthand what kind of lifestyle Patrick has lived with. While working as a bartender he's grown to desire personal freedom and independence, seeking to be the first to leave the next of his Kinship; with the hope of discovering more about himself as he interacts with the world.

Plots
Main Scenario
Enter the Barnell Family
There are some families that grow up being miners, or farmers, or even fishers. Not my family however, mine became a glorified innkeeper. A tavern in which I've lived and grown up in all my life, but like every family out there we have our differences. Our quirks that define us, and our secrets that we keep to ourselves.

Patrick
The Bartender of Alfsos
Appearance
Upon first glance there is nothing far too outstanding or imposing when it comes to Patrick, granted when he isn't actually the one drawing attention to himself at least; but the sight of the Alfsosan easily becomes familiar the moment he does stand apart from the crowd. Patrick stands at an impressive height, six feet and two inches on bare feet, with rich brown hair and hazel eyes that tend to change from time to time. Usually their hues typically change with the lighting; sometimes a vibrant green, sometimes a soft blue, and even a deep brown.
More often seen with well kept hair and a beard he normally keeps trimmed, he tries to wear whatever form of fashion is most convenient. This leads to him favoring lighter clothing that's typically snug enough to show off his refined physique, although there are times where he doesn't mind dressing up for the appropriate occasion. While he's somewhat taller than the average human, he still tends to remain adept at being light on his feet; favoring agility over power when it comes to tense situations.
With strong and resilient physique and taut curves at just the right parts, his silhouette becomes even more impressive once clothes come off. While hardly a unique specimen in comparison to other mortals, as he certainly appears average, Patrick bolsters a unique sense of pride when he walks; as though no weight in the world is impossible to bear on his shoulders.

Patrick
The Bartender of Alfsos
Personality
It's no small wonder as to why Patrick has grown up to live as the sort of man he is, being the middle brother all throughout his life; he's grown complacent within the shadows his siblings cast. An expressively responsible older brother, and a mischievous younger brother certainly have led an interesting life for Patrick. Regardless he isn't without his own unique quirks and habits, as he tends to possess traits both shared and separate from his two siblings.
Patrick is deep down a intellectual scholar with interest in history and the world, much like his mother who practically spoon-fed his own curiosity. Yet even though he shares passions similar with the other two brothers, Patrick himself is more of a observer and thinker. Over the years he's grown to enjoy playing a part in the background, instrumenting things in accordance to plan using his cunning sense of intellect.
It doesn't go without saying however that he isn't a fun loving guy, one who certainly isn't afraid to stir up a bit of his own trouble. However Patrick certainly knows the perks of keeping a low profile, and it's helped him manage his particularly expensive vices. Nevertheless there is one absolute principle that he and the other two boys share, and that is a strong sense of love and duty for family; which is always why the three are oft seen together in some form or fashion.

Origins
They say you don't know a story, that is until you're there to discover it's beginning. For this bartender the story starts with two souls brought together, though whether it was fate or coincidence hardly matters. In the beginning there was an astute if not eager student, a young woman born within an undisclosed noble family; with her heart set on the discovery of the world. Imagine her excitement when one day, she's given the chance to research her first archaeological ruin Atinaw's Academy found an interest in.
While a vast majority of scholars and historians were invested just as she was, it was during the expedition she had come to meet another. No. Not another historian or fanatic of the remnants they were to study, but one of the knights who'd been assigned as protection on this endeavor they had undergone. He was but a man with only a name on his shoulder, for the rest was all a part of the history he'd left behind.
Still that history would define the actions to come soon.
Childhood
Years that followed after a True Marriage, the Barnell Clan was blessed with the firstborn of their new legacy. No. That child isn't the hero of this story, in fact that one didn't come until another few years later. As Patrick Barnell was born into the family, he grew up learning the many stories of his parents adventures; making the life of a tavern boy seem dull in comparison. Indeed much had changed for the lovestruck couple over the course of time, for the parents had settled down and both agreed to run a tavern as a family.
Yet as the years progressed a third had come to enter the picture, another baby boy who would eventually keep the growing Clan on their toes.
Adolescence
While basic education was easy to pass on thanks to the mother, the boys grew up on principles both parents wished to instill. That of course didn't stop the next generation of course, when it came to the curious prospect of personal vices. The oldest sibling of course maintained a much more heavier mantle of responsibility, while the youngest proved to be the on the opposite side of the spectrum. So where did that leave the hero of this tale?
Most would say he would have remained in the middle, or even worse, shift along that same spectrum however he saw fit. Nobody would've expected him to share the same passion and wit of his older sibling, while also displaying similar qualities of the younger influence in his life. Indeed Patrick has had much to influence his growth in life, however while he had a family business and ties with a clan; that didn't mean strife didn't affect him as it did others either.
When Ailos fell a dark chapter began for the family; for Atinaw quickly went to war against the Imperium, once the conquest for expansion sowed discord throughout the region. The boys were too young to be dragged off to war, but of course honor and duty demanded that their father contribute to the cause. So for the duration of the war, the boys were required to keep the family business going; until the day finally came when the weary father returned. The war was over after five long years, and the boys the knight left behind were on the verge of being men.
Adulthood
Come the time to decide on what they wished to pursue, the three brothers were challenged by possibility. The oldest wanted to be more like dear papa, ready to serve king and country with a stout and noble heart; while the youngest seemed far more invested in personal vices. But what did our growing hero want out of life? He had grown to favor family and freedom above all else, but ultimately a passion remained deep seated within.
Adventure into the unknown called out for him, for the tales of his mother's previous life never left his heart. And so he took interest in her research, often charming the other two with enticing thoughts of discovery of something old and forgotten. To discover the precursors left as their legacy, that became the eventual goal Patrick set in his heart; however with the family and it's business to keep him tethered... it became a lifelong dream he never had a chance to pursue.
Needless to say he still lives out his simple days as a bartender, eager to find the opportunity to prove himself in Atinaw's society; just as his mother and father once did a long time ago.
Memories
Pre-Pilot
Ha, fooled you! There aren't any memory threads here just yet.
Unlike a vast majority that believe in higher powers and deities at work, Patrick takes a more pragmatic view of the world with a scholarly heart. That isn't to say he doesn't bear any affinity for the Dragon Gods or Mistlords, quite contrary as his actions and choices should better exemplify who's domain he purviews. It should just be taken into consideration that deep within his core, he is purely a believer in what he can see and explain better. History and it's lessons are a major influence in this dynamic, as they've catered this perspective of his.
In terms of the supernatural and arcane of course, there exists an avid curiosity to understand; but never innately explore such depths of danger. If anything he would rather look at such things from a safe and scientific perspective, ever so cautious to feed the fires of curiosity when faced with a new subject to research.
The Arcane Arts
Currently Patrick has no Runes which bestow such power, nor has he shown any real interest in attaining one.

Biography: Albert's life was rather lonesome in the beginning due to being orphaned at a very young age, however that didn't stop him from striving to make a name for himself. As a native of Atinaw family and kinship was everything for him, but in order to make a name for himself; Albert had to leave the Kinless by joining the Order of the Brave. It was during that time he met Elinora, and the rest soon became history between them. Once the two married and founded their own Kin name, Albert retired from the Order in an effort to establish a business. That hope came to fruition the day he finally opened the doors to the Silver Lion Inn, where he and his beloved not only built a life around that business; but started their own with a growing family in time.

Elinora
Race: Mixed (1/2 Human, 1/2 Hytori) DoB: Ash 51st, 59 AoS (60) Relation: Mother NPC Type: Personal (Family)
Biography: Born to an undisclosed (for now) noble family of Atinaw, Elinora grew up yearning to learn and discover all she could in the world. Eventually she was enrolled at Atinaw's University, where she researched subjects that interested her diligently. She learned of skills and things she deemed appropriate, however her passion for learning remained focused on history at large. Elinora sought to study the history of the world, as well as uncover the parts which became lost to time. It wasn't until her first assignment she'd met a knight of the Order, and during the duration of that assignment, grew to appreciate the man who aided her and her fellow scholars. It wasn't long after that of course, that they spent more time together; until the day came the two of them were finally married. Now as the other founding proprietor of the Silver Inn, Elinora spends her time looking after the business and her grown children; although from time to time aids a research project when time is affordable.

Dominik
Race: Human DoB: Frost 42nd, 85 AoS (34) Relation: Older Brother NPC Type: Personal (Family)
Biography: The firstborn son of the trio. Dominek grew up learning mainly the responsibilities and duties that come with family, as well as the business in which the growing family lived within. While he came to understand his role in the unit, that didn't stop him from wanting to be like his parents. A father that protected and served those around him, and a mother who got to study and explore ancient sights within the world; both which made him yearn for a chance to venture out on his own one day. Of course with age came more responsibility, yet that didn't stop him from finding time to enjoy himself every now and then. Two younger siblings often kept him on his toes, but they helped shaped him into the protective and caring brother he is to this day.

Connor
Race: Human DoB: Searing 66th, 94 AoS (25) Relation: Younger Brother NPC Type: Companion
Biography: The youngest sibling and certainly most troublesome to be sure, Connor's role became a bit more dynamic in comparison to the other two. Where Dominik is the more responsible, and Patrick the more lax in comparison; Connor proves to be the comical mischief of the bunch. He grew understanding the sentiments the parents passed onto him, however the temperamental nature of a free spirit demanded other things as well. While the family is aware of the few shameful things he's done (gambling, whoring, even drugs), they've done their best to support his lifestyle; while keeping the vices to a minimum for the sake of honor and duty.
