Appearance

Kotoru is known as the "Alluring Viper" or the "Demon of the Hattori" and for good reason. Handsome, alluring, and enchanting are words most often used to describe him. Kotoru is a well built & muscular male and has spent most of his early life keeping in shape given his family's profession. He has very broad shoulders with an equally large and well-built chest. His core is strong as he sports an eight pack, and has equally strong arms & legs. He has a tall stature, standing at around 5' 9" though moves with the grace of a fox or crane. His complexion is flawless pristine sunkissed tan, though he has a rather large snake tattoo that goes from the nape of his neck and stops right above his tail bone. This tattoo shimmers in the light in hues of amethyst, silver, and black. Unlike other members of his house, he is admired as handsome and easy on the eyes.

Threshold Sicknesses

  • Elementalism: As his body adjusts to the conditions of being awakened to the raw Elements, he will find himself a little out of whack for a while. Seasonal allergies that he otherwise wouldn't have, shall bother him for a duration of 10 days. Throughout the season of Glade 120, Kotoru will occasionally be wracked with chills, fever, and even body aches along with dreams of being accosted, soothed, or otherwise submerged in the elemental forces of Ransera. These are not debilitating conditions and remain on the level of mere annoyance. They can be mitigated with conventional medicine. However, they will persist for the duration of the full season and then will dissipate harmlessly.



Personality

Kotoru is as ruthless as he is gentle, as passionate as he is harsh, and as sadistic as he is empathetic. For those who know him or not, Kotoru is a complex individual; however, more often than not, many refer to his mind as that akin to a "Whimsical Monster". He is often amused when others who are meeting him for the first time are either terrified or unnerved or both by him.

Truly a whimsical & free-spirited soul, Kotoru is not one to truly follow the norms or tradition laid into the foundation of his upbringing, if it so suits him, opting to forge new paths and avenues that many wouldn't consider themselves. Upbeat and charming, Koto enchants those he meets with his cheerful smile and laid back attitude.

Despite him appearing to always have his head in the clouds, he can be extremely observant, picking up on things others miss and retaining information casually gathered through conversation. Underneath all that whimsical fancy is a sharp cunning and sadistic soul. Kotoru has no regard for human life and simply follows through with whatever happens to pique his interest at the time. He actually doesn't worry about himself too much either. He believes so long as the journey is entertaining, the outcome doesn't matter.

This is not to say that those he has truly formed a close bond of some kind fall to his sadistic nature. Those lucky enough to be friends with Kotoru find a fierce and loyal friend in him.

Kotoru is also fully aware of his eccentricities and that his way of living his life doesn't follow normal conduct. As such he rejoices when people support him or shower him with encouragement, especially those close to him, greatly valuing their friendship, albeit in his own ways.

Lastly at the core of Kotoru is a warriors spirit, one that has been instilled in him since he could walk. The thrill of fighting strong enemies in battles and near-death experiences is an orgasmic experience for him, practically an aphrodisiac if you will. He has been known to hold back during combat in an effort to make the fight last longer.
History

The day of Kotoru's birth was a traumatic one, as creatures from the Warrens poured into the city. While his father and the other warriors of Kalzasi fought the horde of evil incarnations, his mother was struggling through the birthing process. It seemed that nothing would help move things along, as if he was stuck mid birth.

it wasn't till the next morning, after all the death and fighting had been done, that Kotoru was finally brought into this world. While his parents rejoiced in the birth of a healthy baby boy, many saw the circumstances behind his birth as an omen of what he would become. He was born after a bloody and fierce battle had taken place and many thought that this would lead to him becoming a monster in due time.

Kotoru as a child growing up was well taken care of, the baby of 4 children, he was doted on by his parents up till he could walk. By that time playtime was over. Accompanied by his general education and studies, he learned the ways of his clan. The Hattori house are the "Serpents of the Dahshida", and take that moniker and heritage very seriously. The warrior clan introduced Kotoru to the ways of tracking, hunting, and warfare.

The one thing Kotoru enjoyed in his clan training was the sparring matches. He took to it rather surprisingly at such an early age, often practicing his swordsmanship in his spare time. To those that oversaw his training, they were astounded by the innate talent he had with a weapon. Many described it as watching a dance of the blade. This showed even more as he accompanied his family members on bounties, and subduing hostile bounties.

His first taste of bounty hunting was all he needed, becoming hooked on the thrill of the chase like an addict to a new high, which for Koto, it was like a drug. This drug made Kotoru precise and efficient in what he did. The next step in his life was one he not so much asked for.

His mother, a mage in her own right, found her son's whimsical tendencies to reminded of the ethereal creatures she called friends through summoning. One night while the house slept, She took Koto to a sacred place behind the house, a tranquil place. It was here that Koto was given the inscription, the Rune of Summoning.

In those moments of silence, he meditated calming his mind in order to fight off any nervousness he was feeling during the process. He sat there in the darkness and quiet till he felt a faint breath kiss his skin. His eyes didnt shoot open in surprise or from being startled, instead he calmly opened them, the rune glistening from whatever patron had chosen him. A smile on his face he was greeted by his mother who embraced her son, now joining the ranks of summoners in the family.

In the recent seasons, Koto has spent most of his time taking on smaller contracts, honing his skills as a bounty hunter, but more so to live his life the best he knows how carefree and full of desire.

蛇 Description:
  • Sojin found himself being orphaned at a very young age. Angry & alone he wandered the wilderness of Karnor struggling to survive. He was soon taken in by a couple passing through as they couldnt watch as he suffered. He lived in a small hut near the river with his new family.

    He was what some would say a problem child, always getting into fights, being with his fist or the closest thing he could get his hands on. He never really seemed to like authority figures but obeyed his parents. One day he saw a group of mercenaries in town and was lucky enough to pickpocket some money off of one.

    Unfortunately, the one he chose to steal from caught him and forced him to watch as his foster family was given his punishment for his acts, which was death. To add to Sojin's childhood trauma, the group used him as a slave whenever they were in town. He did everything he was told to do out of fear he suffer the same fate as his foster family. As luck would have it, one day while the mercenaries were fast asleep, He slipped away vowing to become stronger so that he would never suffer like that ever again.

    Fleeing he knew he couldnt return as had no choice but the brave the harshness of the countryside of Karnor. One night as he slept he was attacked by a wild beast. Frightened out of his mind he couldnt move and knew his death was imminent. Like a ray of hope a stranger happened to be in the area and quickly dispatched the creature before it had a chance to make Sojin a meal.

    The warrior could see the soul of a warrior in Sojin's eyes and saw potential in the young man. He took Sojin in and brought him under his wing, teaching him how to use a sword exceptionally well. In time Sojin had learned all the man he came to know as Kyofu had to offer. "I sense a burning desire in you. Whatever that desire is, the only way for you see it come to fruition is carving that destiny out with your own hands." It was those very words that coaxed him into becoming a mage and spellsword.

    With hard work and diligence, Sojin made a name for himself as a freelance mercenary and bounty hunter within the Karnor region, following in the footsteps of his mentor. It was a perfect fit for him. The thrill of battle and taking down dangerous criminals was what he did best and no one could ever argue that.
蛇 Personality:
  • Sojin in all sense of the word is a strong-willed individual, no matter what aspect of his life it comes to. Be it sex, battle, casual interactions, this domineering force of a man is always diving headfirst in whatever it is he does. Playfully charming, yet callously efficient, Sojin exudes an air of power only he can provide.

    His calm and carefree demeanor may seem unimposing, but Sojin's mind is a dangerous one. He sees any encounter, be it casual or conflict, as a game of war as he relishes bloodshed and enjoys the thrill of life and death situations. At times, he has been seen as being perceptive of other's thoughts.

    He either seeks to torment those who cross him with this knowledge or satirizes the ones he calls friend. Not a moment of guilt runs through him as he defeats people in his path, exhilarated in watching them fight to the bitter end. He has been conditioned to carry himself as a warmonger, more than ready to use his talents to force those foolish enough to cross him into submission or to their own deaths.

    Confident with his strengths, his egotism borderlines closely to being vanity. Sojin's methods of conduct are truly an enigma to all but himself. Those close to him may catch on to his thoughts, but even they can't completely unfurl his every pondering. He takes joy in his sly defiance of what others expect or project onto him, enjoying the untold frustration he inflicts on them. While he insists otherwise, he will be moved by their lingering kindness towards him.
