History
Ignacio Calderón was born into a family of sigil pyromancy users in Amoren, and from a young age, he showed a natural talent for harnessing the power of flames. His parents were respected members of the magical community, and they trained him rigorously, hoping to mold him into a powerful and respected mage like themselves.
However, when he was a teenager, he overheard his parents discussing plans to become traitors to the kingdom. Fueled by a sense of duty and honor, he made the difficult decision to take matters into his own hands. In the dead of night, he set fire to his parents' bedroom, burning them to death in their sleep.
Despite the gruesome nature of his crime, he gained favor with his parents' leaders for his loyalty and willingness to take action against traitors. He abandoned his birth name and gave himself the name Infierno Fuego to represent the fire in his soul. Also because he was embarrassed about his family and wanted to not be associated with them anymore. That was impossible, but it made him feel better to help abandon his past identity. He was quickly recruited into the Halamire, where his talents as a fire mage were put to good use. Infierno proved to be a skilled mage, able to use his magic to great effect on the battlefield.
During his time in the Halamire, Infierno learned the art of artificing while stationed near a workshop, further enhancing his magical abilities. In recognition of his service and his past actions, Infierno already has a reputation of being a loyal man willing to do what it takes to achieve results. Despite his ruthless reputation, Infierno gained the respect and admiration of his fellow Halamire for his skill and dedication to the cause.
