Jared had certainly found a way to keep the Griscian talking. It was typically Ford who was silent and watching others, seeing how they interacted with one another, how they reacted to each other. With Jared, he felt the inclination to interact with him and carry on the conversation with him. So when the question was asked of him, Ford could not answer at first. What was Jared? He was not simply like the other people he tended to meet or visit in Radenor, nor was he like anyone he had met in his trips to Lorien for work. For a long moment, Ford's gaze lingered on the Draedan as he was attempting to piece together what he felt represented the Draedan. "I don't think you are an enigma, no. I don't think that you're an entire mystery that can't be understood without time and patience... But I also think there is a lot more to you than you let on. At first glance, many people might think you are just a sickly street urchin looking for your next meal. But talking to you and spending time around you has taught me you have a depth in you that leaves you in neither category. I don't know what I would call you if I had to label you, but I think you are interesting, more than many people I have come across."

Birds. They were interesting creatures. Many of them chose to live in flocks, while others paired off into mating pairs to thrive and further their species, yet some lived in solitude, exposing themselves to their kind only when needed. Which was Jared? A sparrow, a crow, a raven, or something else entirely? "Hm... Perhaps you started off as a sparrow, but I do not think that is who you are anymore. You are little like a sparrow, sure. But your mind is more intelligent, like a raven. And I think the more you grow into your Draedan abilities and learning how things work with you from this point forward, you are going to continue to evolve. I do not think, once you begin heading toward your new potential, you will identify as either of them and instead, will find something new to be similar to."

The blonde snorted in Jared's direction. "You should not feel guilty at all about confiding in me or talking to me about your problems. I like it, it helps me focus on something else, someone else. Especially someone that I might be able to help, which is something I do enjoy." Cut off by Jared making the joke about the floor and his buns nestling against them, Ford's eyes lowered along Jared's frame and he laughed at it and shook his head. Listening to Jared, Ford was about to interject a comment when he heard the other's speech begin to slow, and when he looked to Jared's face, he could see sleep coming quickly for him and he let out a sigh of contentment; Jared finally relaxed enough to fall asleep. A relieved smile came to his features as he pulled at the covers from the nearby bed until the blanket was pulled free. Leaning over, he lifted the blanket to drape over Jared's body and retook his position he had been sitting in. Planting his feet firmly against the floor, his knees pointed upward as he pulled his legs in a bit toward his torso. He was too bulky to really fold in on himself, so instead he rested against his arms atop his knees.

He would keep an eye on the Draedan, allowing him to sleep while he contemplated both his own thoughts and the words Jared had shared with him.
