Alistair shook the other's hand, pausing for a moment as a puzzled look filled in his features. "Mmmh... hm," he murmured, reaching up to scratch his short beard. "I do like Gentevarese food, sure. And Raillen. Griscian food's not my favorite, so... I'd keep away from that. Maybe it's the obvious choice if you want to make me feel treasured, but I'd probably like something from up here; northern Daravin has very good cuisine. One of the few luxuries to this place."
He realized he let a sort of insult slip, but didn't bother retracting it. It was simply true that Daravin was very poor, and absent of amenities. It was dirty, disease-ridden, and violent. It was also incredibly beautiful, but that was difficult to recall once someone got used to their lot. Morghent, too, was beautiful . . . but with so much more welfare for its citizenry in the form of infrastructure and jobs. Daravin lived, still, in the time of mere subsistence agriculture.
Almost to distract from his awkward, internalized stumbling, Alistair made his offer: sex, something he was more than acquainted with giving. Jared was handsome, and he wanted it, and Alistair found himself in the mood. Those five days of hunting had deprived him of intimacy -- his sustenance.
"Sure," he responded, hoping to reassure the other. His body language and tone were both very casual, as if he had no expectations. He was not there to judge, or to demean. "Alright, so you're a virgin then, yes?" he asked, flatly. It was obvious when someone was, just based on their reaction to him. He'd dealt with enough lads of little experience to know that. "No worries; I'll be as patient as a portrait. We're, uh... quite a ways apart in terms of size, and I don't want to break you. Wouldn't do me any good, yeah? It's in my best interests to keep you enjoying it."
The man slowly stood up, reaching down to extend a hand to the other. "Come on. We could wait until tonight, but we've already gotten the cat out of the bag, so let's get started. I'll show you the ropes behind one of those crates."
