*Realm & Dunecrag*
Outside of Dagrun are many different caverns, some filled with mushrooms, some with water, some housing monsters, others in rare cases are filled with gemstones. Those skilled in spelunking and with a lionheart will find many goodies in the Cauern Wylds.

There are many who come to explore just the wilds looking for the mythical Dunecrags. Dunecrags, or dunes are ancient hovels and holes from the bygone Ages. These are filled with relics of the past and vary in size, some being small homes, some being village sized, others being full-on cities. Even still some are laboratories or underground castles where gentry of the past lived. What is usually found here, of note, are clockwork items, artificied items, marvels of technology, and occasionally enchanted items too.

*Gloom Pit the Dank*
The most well known excavated Dune. As the story goes, a human treasure hunter and thief by the name of Faithlynn Canterbury was following a map from the Artificer’s Academy. This map was stolen by her from a glass case meant for showcasing gnomish artifacts and goods from the original three Ages. Having to work in complete secrecy, she and her team excavated deep into Mount Lorscha until finally breaking through to the Dune. As the fable goes upon breaching the Dune a scream from inside its maw was heard throughout Dagrun, foreshadowing the horrors that lie within. It is essentially a black pit with seemingly no end, those who go inside rarely return. Those who return come back scarred and empty handed. They say the pit is from the Second Age, an artificer and necromancing noble woman inhabited this Dune. What remains from her studies and experiments are so horrifying, so terrible, that only the bravest will dare venture inside. All who treasure hunt know though, what comes at a great cost also comes with great reward. Despite the shady origins, there is a high price on any artifact which can be recovered from this Dunecrag.

*Artificer’s Dream*
A Dunecrag that never ceases to give, this deep labyrinth will have the explorer turned in circles for ages. While much of it has been mapped out, there is still so much left to explore. The noble who created this in the first ages was verifiably a genius, hiding their secrets with puzzles, optical illusions, and the maze itself which seems to never stay the same. Those who have cracked the codes hidden in Artificer's Dream’s hallways have found marvels of technology unlike any on Atharen. Whirly gigs here are so complex that they make the most experienced minds of the Dunemaids feeble; most of what is found remains a mystery to those who bring back treasure. This Dune is about a ten days walk worth of cave travel from The Din heading downwards and southwest.

*Outpost Outside Dagrun*
On the outside of Mount Lorscha there is an extravagant bronze clockwork entrance welcoming newcomers and returners alike. This is what travelers going to and from the city see first and last, respectively. It’s guarded by Praetorian in wisdam mostly for the intimidation factor, though newcomers wouldn’t know that the wisdam are barely functional.

*Lava Fields*
Found in a cavern less than a day away from the city, the lava fields are used to power certain machines in Dagrun essential for the survival of the people. Dunarium wires and pipes run currents or even lava itself through secret worker's passageways through the city. This area is heavily guarded and manned by the best and brightest as any mishap could spell disaster for the entire city.

*Mines*
There is a large mining culture of golems outside of Dagrun. While golems do the more dangerous work people are tasked with appraising their work and keeping an eye on things, making sure any repairs get done and that work is going efficiently. Most of what is mined is base metals like copper, iron, but occasionally they will hit a gem vein or other valuable goods. Dunarium, a metal specific to the mountains of Venigad, is also mined here. Dunarium goes for a high price among the common people and most of what is robotic is made of this around the city. Dunes found from these mines are quickly sealed and tagged for the Dunemaids to excavate.

*Broken Railways*
Leading out from some of Dagrun’s suburbs are broken down railways giving the impression that Dagrun used to be deeper. What is known is that these railways once connected Dagrun to other gnomish cities. Sometimes people exploring the deeper areas of the Cauern Wylds will find aspects of these dilapidated railways.

*Hush Stalactite Falls*
A beautiful park and recreational area preserved for the entertainment of the Dagrunian. The stalactites here are beautiful and this area is known for its quirk of no sound traveling in this area when stood between two stalactites. For some the silence is welcome versus the constant hum and noise of the city, for others the silence can be deafening.
